As I was in prayer, worshiping before the Lord, I saw an image before me of a host of angels
holding golden bowls full of incense in front of the throne of God.
I realized I was seeing part of Revelation 5:8:
“…and they were holding golden bowls full of incense which are the prayers of God’s people”.
But within the group of angels were people of every nation and tongue.
These were not those who had gone on before,
but those who are still alive and living on the earth.
Then God spoke to me.
“These are they which live in intimacy with me.
They do not need any angel to carry in their prayers or worship.
They are ever before my throne, holding their own golden bowls”.
When the image disappeared, I knew I needed to paint the scene.  -Liz Hess
